Services
Two areas of focus, both built on thirteen years of matrimonial practice: the divorce itself, and, where there are children, the parenting arrangements that follow it.
The full scope of a divorce worked through between the two of you: assets and debts, the marital home, retirement accounts, support, and taxes, ending in a Matrimonial Settlement Agreement, which Jessica may draft or set out as a term sheet for your own attorneys.
Parenting plans built around your children and the realities of both households: schedules, holidays, decision-making, and how you will handle the changes that come as they grow.
How it works
Every matter starts the same way: a complimentary consultation of up to thirty minutes, so you can ask questions and decide whether mediation fits your situation. If you go forward, each spouse completes an intake form separately, covering assets, debts, income, and, if you have them, children. Sessions run one hour at a time. Many couples take three or four sessions to reach terms; shorter marriages with mostly agreed terms are often at the low end of that, and some situations need more.
When you have reached agreement, Jessica may draft the Matrimonial Settlement Agreement, or prepare a term sheet for your own attorneys to draft from, and explains the next steps, including the route to an uncontested divorce where that applies. Fees are billed hourly and discussed at your consultation; the fees section explains how billing works.
